The name Zephyr characterises the prevailing wind that complements Marlborough’s unique ripening season. Zephyr wines embrace the dynamic spirit of the Glover family and the lively aromatics of the estate vineyards. The Glover family vineyards, planted in 1985 alongside the meandering Opawa River, have inspired the family’s passion for wine.
'If I had to choose just one Kiwi Sauvignon at the moment, it would be the harmonious, beautifully balanced, Zephyr Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough."

#2 in Top 10 - Earthy, broom flower florals give this dry wine a slightly “sauvage” dimension. In the mouth, the racy acids take you on a great ride through colourful splashes of citrus and apple. It was made by winemaker Ben Glover, who also had a hand in our eighth-placed riesling.
> ZEPHYR Gewurztraminer 2013 | #1 in Top 5 | Best Buy
Our top wine brings together fresh fragrances, such as rosehip and quince, and more savoury spice notes, such as nutmeg. It is fresh and lively, finishing dry with an attractive textural flourish. "It's not a flamboyant version," said John Belsham. "The savoury element doesn't detract, but makes it more complete and food-friendly." Winemaker Ben Glover says it is "stunning" with warmed De Brood Bakker's sourdough baguette with Over the Moon's Galactic Gold Wash Rind Cheese. (published March 2014)
> ZEPHYR RIESLING 2013 | Best Buy
This "totally seductive" wine rocked Cameron Douglas's world and earned high praise from the entire panel. It's a big, concentrated wine, beautifully fragrant, offering bright apple notes and a pure lick of acidity. (published March 2014)
